of course we all know of the basic hypnotic functions that we experience on a daily basis…from not remembering your commute to the deep breathing patterns that we all experience right before we fall asleep…but I’d like to know what some of your everyday hypnotic experiences you go through?

This is a fascinating book of case histories. It shows the varied ways and the cross section of people that hypnosis can help. Most hypnosis books are written in technical terms for the professional hypnotherapist. This book is for everyone and I’m sure many will recognize in it their own issues and the possibility that hypnosis can help them as it has helped the subjects in the book.

I think what holds hypnosis back is not the myths around the practice. It seems to me that one bigger problem is the lack of understanding of what hypnosis CAN do. Hypnosis can be used in all sorts of ways, but as a Hypnotherapist there are a few common areas that we work with.

I can’t imagine any hypnotherapist will provide you with a “procedure” to do this. Similarly, I can’t imagine a therapeutic reason for trying to do it! Give it up
