I’m sitting here on a very early sunday morning drinking my coffee and doing some article research. I came across this one:

“In recent years, hypnosis has been linked to cures for gastrointestinal disorders, psoriasis, mitigating migraines, slowing cancer progression and improving psychological disorders like anxiety, depression and insomnia. Some call it “the power of positive thinking,” where the hypnotist plants helpful suggestions to train the mind to think in a new light. Researchers insist they are not meddling in the human psyche, that no suggestion can change the unwilling. In fact, government research during the fifties substantiated that argument when the brainwashing program (dubbed “MK Ultra”) was closed down. Even so, the mind works in strange and mysterious ways and seems willing to adopt new paradigms as necessary to ensure survival.”

The continental crust consists of serengeti sunglasses lower density material such as the igneous rocks granite and andesite. Less common is basalt, a denser volcanic rock that is the primary constituent of the ocean floors.[79] revo sunglasses Sedimentary rock is formed from the accumulation of sediment that becomes compacted together. Nearly 75% of the continental surfaces are covered by sedimentary rocks, although they form only about 5% of the crust.[80] The third form of rock material found on Earth is metamorphic rock, which is created from the transformation of pre-existing rock types through high pressures, high fendi sunglasses temperatures, or both. The most abundant silicate minerals on the Earth’s surface

Very interesting.

I was especially impressed with the study of the colored triangles showing that under hypnosis both the left and right sides of the brain showed activity whereas when not under hypnosis only the right side showed brain activity.
cool, thanks for sharing.  grin

“It didn’t work; I wasn’t hypnotized,” he declared after his one and only session. But it did work; since that day, he has not taken one puff of a cigarette. Gloria Kanter of Boynton Beach, Fla., thought her attempt in 1985 to use hypnosis to overcome her fear of flying had failed. “When the therapist brought me out, I said it didn’t work,” she recalled in an interview. “I told her, ‘I heard everything you said.’ ”
